Case Study
Process Improvement Is A Dirty Job.
There are gaps to fill, leaks to stop, and holes to fix. But once the dirty work is done, your company is positioned to leap to an entirely new level!
Knowing how well we do dirty work figuratively, we were thrilled when we were presented with the opportunity do it literally!
When the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians needed a team they could trust to support them in all three phases of process improvement — which in this case involved remediating and moving dirt, literally–they worked in partnership with Process Panda’s parent company, Scape Group Inc. for assistance.
The Goal
To create processes that ensured the site would be managed with a focus on sustainable operations.

How Process Panda Helped
The Process Panda team designed programs ensuring safety is never compromised. Then, we developed operational processes to ensure:
- every ton or barrel of incoming material is remediated to permit parameters and used as stabilization material for future growth
- all financial and accounting systems meet GAAP standards
- customers receive accurate critical documentation in a timely manner
How Scape Group, Inc. Helped
Once the operational processes were developed, the tribe asked Scape Group to stay on and run the facility to these new, exacting requirements, and Scape Resource Facilities was born.
About The Site
The facility in Mecca, known as Mecca Resource Facility (now Mecca Remediation Facility), is a 20-acre facility designed to remediate and recycle non-CalHaz contaminated soil and liquid. All incoming materials are required to fall within California Non-Hazardous limitations and given a new life as recycled stabilization material for future tribal-land growth.
How We Can Help You
Every day, Scape Group employees process soil and liquid using heavy equipment and the latest remediation techniques. Thousands of tons of soil and barrels of liquid move across the scale every day and are repurposed for future use. Customers of Mecca Remediation Facility are issued Certificates of Recycling to illustrate our commitment to providing the most sustainable next stage of life for these materials. If you would like to provide this sustainable solution to your customer or waste generator, contact us.
